Like the legend of the phoenix All ends with beginnings What keeps the planet spinning The force from the beginning We've come too far To give up who we are So let's raise the bar And our cups to the stars She's up all night 'til the sun I'm up all night to get some She's up all night for good fun I'm up all night to get lucky We're up all night 'til the sun We're up all night to get some We're up all night for good fun We're up all night to get lucky We're up all night to get lucky We're up all night to get lucky We're up all night to get lucky We're up all night to get lucky The present has no ribbon Your gift keeps on giving What is this I'm feeling? If you wanna leave I'm with it We've come too far To give up who we are So let's raise the bar And our cups to the stars She's up all night 'til the sun I'm up all night to get some She's up all night for good fun I'm up all night to get lucky We're up all night 'til the sun We're up all night to get some We're up all night for good fun We're up all night to get lucky We're up all night to get lucky We're up all night to get lucky We're up all night to get lucky We're up all night to get lucky

We’ve got our horse and we’ve got our gun We’ve got quite no where else to run Til they get here, we’ve got a few hours The sun sets and no light will shower Set up camp, take a whiff My head still hurts and my knees are stiff My close companion looks to me And says “kid take in all you see” The desert sun breaks my eyes But I can see our end in sight Texas behind, Oregon ahead Crazy Horse and I for dead In the dust bowl, barely make it through Walk on in to that ole saloon Get a whiskey and a room I’d like to dedicate this one to you States underfoot pass me by, Like the roads before him Another wound here, another to die The lives and towns blend within The desert sun breaks my eyes But I can see our end in sight Texas behind, Oregon ahead Crazy Horse and I for dead The bringers of aggression The bringers of aggression The bringers of aggression The bringers of aggression The bringers of aggression The bringers of aggression The bringers of aggression The bringers of aggression
5.
When dreaming I'm guided to another world Time and time again At sunrise I fight to stay asleep 'Cause I don't wanna leave the comfort of this place 'Cause there's a hunger, a longing to escape From the life I live when I'm awake So let's go there Let's make our escape Come on, let's go there Let's ask can we stay? Can you take me higher? To a place where blind men see Can you take me higher? To a place with golden streets Although I would like our world to change It helps me to appreciate Those nights and those dreams But, my friend, I'd sacrifice all those nights If I could make the Earth and my dreams the same The only difference is To let love replace all our hate So let's go there Let's make our escape Come on, let's go there Let's ask can we stay? Can you take me higher? To a place where blind men see Can you take me higher? To a place with golden streets Up high I feel like I'm alive for the very first time Set up high I'm strong enough to take these dreams And make them mine Set up high I'm strong enough to take these dreams And make them mine Can you take me higher? To a place where blind men see Can you take me higher? To a place with golden streets

Woke up this morning with light in my eyes And then realized it was still dark outside It was a light coming down from the sky I don't know who or why Must be those strangers that come every night Those saucer shaped lights put people uptight Leave blue green footprints that glow in the dark I hope they get home all right Hey, Mr. Spaceman Won't you please take me along I won't do anything wrong Hey, Mr. Spaceman Won't you please take me along for a ride Woke up this morning, I was feeling quite weird Had flies in my beard, my toothpaste was smeared Over my window, they'd written my name Said, So long, we'll see you again Hey, Mr. Spaceman Won't you please take me along I won't do anything wrong Hey, Mr. Spaceman Won't you please take me along for a ride Hey, Mr. Spaceman Won't you please take me along I won't do anything wrong Hey, Mr. Spaceman Won't you please take me along for a ride

Maybe there’ll be a helpful few

about

Enjoy KUBES Halloween the way we do every year,

With a killer show.

THE NIGHT:

- Saginaw, TX
- Halloween party
- Drizzling rain
- Texas Rangers World Series Game 2
- Booze
- Substances in varying capacities
- Psych Rock

A bustling party atmosphere is conducive to an electrifying performance. Heard here in 8-track, the Kubes' live show is a fun Saturday night with the local boys as the soundtrack. Each Kube can be heard having a whole lot of fun with the songs chosen, and the free-flowing performance comes through in pristine clarity, thanks to recording in the Kubes' jam room.

THE SONGS:

One of the more unique Kubes sets than usual, this performance was moved inside after a rain delay and poor weather conditions continued through the night. Morphing two sets into one, the trio takes on some new covers, unreleased originals, and a few classics.

"EVAN FINDS THE THIRD ROOM"

A Khruangbin number opens the show as a tip of the hat to a fellow Texas-based psych rock trio. Setting the scene as the three Kubes get comfortable with this jamming number, Spencer takes the vocal reigns.

"NASHVILLE WEST / MR. SPACEMAN"

Circa 1969 medley by the country-rock Byrds. A great showcase for Travis' new Telecaster making its live performance debut. This tune is rollicking and rolling as our partygoers jam along on the couch before us.

"T.B.O.A."

An unreleased Kubes number coming soon to the next studio album, this psychedelic western track is a vast, lengthy excursion into the desert sun. Journey across the West with the Kubes, leaving 'Texas Behind, Oregon Ahead'. No that's not a college football update, it's the odyssey of one BUFFALO MAC.

"96 TEARS"

This classic psychedelic number is another tune we had been wanting to play for a long time. First told we should play it by a drunk patron at the Ridglea Theater, The Kubes take it in their own style; pre-keyboardist addition.

And more...
Enjoy 12 tracks of Live Kubes from one of our great nights with a particularly receptive audience
Many songs were chosen for requests, to show off new tunes, or just for fun.

KUBES MORE in '24

- Q1 'KUBEJAM' - an all-jam, all-instrumental record with hints of jazz fusion, psychedelia, and blue notes, solidifying the new Kubes quartet as a jam band. Themes include; nuclear submarines, giant squids, stock car racing, local Italian restaurants, and many minutes of wild improvisation.

- Q2/3 'THE REVENGE OF BUFFALO MAC' - a conceptual psychedelic western-themed album, led by the protagonist created years prior in songs like "LORD OF THE DESERT". Buffalo Mac embarks on his cross-country odyssey to the tune of the Kubes' distinct style.

All tracks have been recorded, mixed and 24-bit mastered in Pro Tools at the Jam House Records Studio. Recorded in Saginaw, Texas.
