Temple

Temple 03:23
The summer heat blisters today But these fields take my troubles away Living in this world alone Got nobody to call my own So I'll stand out in the rain Waiting for you to call my name Got nobody to call my own Why don't you call my phone Well I don't need to worry, about everything I'm not in a hurry, to do anything I work all day and all night, just to keep myself and you satisfied But until she calls my name, I'll just sing on towards the sky Some days feel long and some go on by fast The weeks turn into years, but the years never last One day I'll be gone, but until that day comes I'll be singing my song, waiting to go where I'm from Best keep comin' on Baby stay out of my way

Well I hear that train comin' down the track I'm leaving here, not comin' back I'm leaving here, and I'm goin' far All I got with me is this guitar Well I'm leaving my baby 'cause she been mean Got a bottle of whisky and some canned heat Goin' out west where it's dry Pretty girls there sure ain't shy I'm leavin' here not comin' back Just watch that train roll, down the track

about

The Kubes' second single was recorded again at the Rock Mill Studios, with Ezrie Katzen producing. The song "Train Hopper Blues" was written for the session and rarely performed live. The title track is a longtime live favorite, and has been performed at many Kubes shows.

Featuring a blistering backing from Landry and Spencer, "Temple" is a textbook rock trio song. The Kubes' first double-sided single, there's a clear style beginning to develop. 2019 was a prolific year for the Kubes and kicked off the touring performances and recording releases.
